Facilitating in a 2.0 Classroom

Guiding student learning through the use of Web 2.0 tools is the job of the teacher/facilitator. 21st century skills of critical thinking, communication, collaboration, creativity and innovation engage students in a 2.0 classroom and prepare them for the world of today. In this session, participants will be exposed to a variety of Web 2.0 tools and given time for hands on discovery. Blogs, Wikis, and Google Docs will be the focus of some of the ways to share and collaborate with others. These tools can be further enhanced with the use of Vokis, podcasts, and other widgets. Participants will create a blog or wiki to use in their classroom as well as a Voki. We will explore ways in which social networking can enhance your classroom through the use of Teacher Tube and Classroom 2.0.
